The Van’s Aircraft RV-8 traces its roots back to 1995, when the RV-8 prototype made its debut at Oshkosh. By 1996, the RV-8 had entered production and quickly earned its place as an aircraft known for the perfect balance of speed, efficiency, handling, and capability. Now, that spirit is being reimagined once again.
Introducing the all-new RV-8 35cc FLS — a new chapter designed to deliver the unmistakable feel of the RV-8 in a more accessible size. Building on the success and reputation of the RV-8 10E, RV-8 60E, and RV-8 70cc platforms, the RV-8 35cc FLS was developed as a true 30% scale aircraft featuring over 1400 square inches of wing area. The result is the friendly flight characteristics, remarkable versatility, and refined scale presence that pilots have come to expect.

Designed by World Champion Quique Somenzini, the RV-8 35cc FLS blends authentic scale presence with modern innovation, creating an aircraft that feels equally at home flying graceful full-flap slow passes, precise aerobatics, and fully capable 3D performance.
